Dishes in Satellite TV
By admin | January 12, 2008
The dishes used in satellite tv systems are quite necessary, otherwise it would be quite impossible to receive signals from communications satellites situated above. These are essentially parabolic antennas designed to receive and send signals to and from transmitters above. The dish itself is designed to reflect signals into the actual receiving unit at the focal point. The larger the dish, the stronger the signal strength usually is. For satellite tv service users, the size of the dishes are usually between 18inches to around 30inches in diameter. These could be made bigger or smaller depending on the purpose.
