Tissue forceps are for general surgery

Tissue Forceps such as Allis forceps and Adson forceps are used in general surgery. This surgical tool allows surgeons to grasp tissues firmly while exerting variable pressure. Tissue Forceps are also used to hold the tissue in place when applying sutures or to gently move the tissues out of the way during exploratory surgery. I had accompanied my niece to the operation theatre during her delivery and noticed how expertly the surgical team handled the surgical instruments especially the tissue forceps. What attracted my attention was the Adson tissue forceps which had “mouse teeth” for firmly holding the tissue. This allowed the surgeon to operate more effectively and precisely
