What are the benfits like for a JCPenney sales associate position or any position?

FM asked:

What kind of benefits are offered with a job position at JCPenney? I will be working part-time but 35 hours a week so close to full time. What is the dental plan like because that’s what I’m most interested in. Would there be like a yearly limit that can be used for a dental plan? Thanks

I just got a job there, and got a book on the benefits plan so here goes:

If you work an average 35 hours a week or more during the first 8 weeks, you are considered full-time. You can choose to enroll in any ABC option within the first 30 days, and full-time benefits once you meet your eligibility waiting period.

Once you become Benefits eligible, you will no longer be able to participate in ABC Medical, Dental, or Term Life.

The date your benefits become effective will vary depending on what part of the month you were hired. If you were hired on or before the 15th of the month, you may become Benefits Eligible for full-time benefits on the 5th month of employment. If you were hired on or after the 16th of the month, you may become Benefits Eligible the first day of the 6th month of employment.

Remember, you must average 35 or more hours per week to become Benefits Eligible.

You can still get the ABC benefits until you meet your eligibility waiting period.

      ABC benefits include:

      ABC Medical
      ABC Dental
      ABC Vision
      ABC Term Life Insurance
      ABC Accidental Death and Dismemberment
      ABC Accident
      ABC Critical Illness
      ABC Universal Life

      Full-time benefits include:

      Medical
      Dental
      Life Insurance
      Disability
      Accidental Death and Dismemberment
      Long Term Care
