What happens if i exchange something at Jcpenney?

Yes, you can do an exchange as long as you have the receipt. I don’t know if there’s a time restriction on returns from the original date of purchase.

They’ll do returns, but they have rules on it:
1) You can’t return bras, panties, or swimwear.
2. The items being returned must still have the price tag attached to it—they won’t take it back if it looks like you might have worn it.
3) You have to have the receipt.
They might not have the same item in stock, but they might be able to order one for you.

Well you can exchange it only if you still have the recipt and the tags to prove that you have not worn it . so if you have worn it you cannot. but when you go up ther they will give you the money back and you will have to go repurchase it

First of all: ignore anyone who has answered your question so far.
- They will exchange your hoodie for you, whether you have the receipt or not. Also whether the tags are still attached or if you even have them makes no difference. And yes, you CAN return lingerie - we just defect it out and send it back to SCS. If they don’t have the item you want to exchange it for (it doesn’t have to be the same thing; you might just owe a little bit or be refunded the difference) they will still allow you to return it; receipt or no receipt.
For future reference: If you didn’t have a receipt (which I know you do), they would give you the lowest selling price in the last 30 days and it would be refunded to you in the amount of a store voucher card. If you were exchanging it for the same item, they would still do an even exchange and you would not owe anything nor be refunded any amount.
